Mark Terrell

Mark serves as the Client Development Lead for Executive Education at Belmont University, bringing over 15 years of experience in financial services and business development.

Prior to Belmont, Mark spent seven years as VP & Commercial Relationship Manager with FirstBank in Nashville, partnering with businesses and nonprofits across real estate, manufacturing, insurance, and fashion. He previously served as a branch manager at Regions Bank, where he represented the Middle Tennessee region on several leadership committees, including two years on the Middle Tennessee Leadership Council, and was a 2009 graduate of the Branch Leadership Academy. In addition, Mark also served on the Consumer 360 Elite Team, conducting financial seminars for employees of some of the bank’s largest corporate clients in the region. Prior to banking, Mark worked with PR Newswire as an Account Manager, helping corporate clients with their public, investor, and media relations throughout a four-state territory in the southeast.

Deeply committed to the community, Mark spent over three years as Board Treasurer and Finance Chairman for Daybreak Arts, a local nonprofit creating economic opportunities for people experiencing homelessness. A passionate musician, he is a self-taught drummer who also plays guitar and piano. He has performed with several bands since his teenage years and continues to write and record music.

Originally from Birmingham, AL, Mark graduated from Auburn University in 2001 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. A Nashville resident since 2004, he enjoys traveling, cooking, the outdoors, and spending time with his wife Molly, their daughter Lucy, and their two dogs, Sadie and Elsa.
